About the role
We're looking for a Tech Support & Data Assistant to be our in-person IT hero! π¦ΈββοΈπ
What you'll be doing:
- Be the face of our IT support team on-site, tackling any tech issues that can't be fixed remotely. Think setting up new gear, doing physical checks, and making hands-on fixes. π»π§
- Act as the vital link between our office crew and our online IT wizards, making sure all the on-site details are passed on and that fixes get fully sorted. π€
- Get new team members set up for success by configuring their PCs, monitors, workstations, and phone extensions with all the right default settings. β¨
- Install, update, and patch software and operating systems on office PCs. You'll also be imaging/re-imaging machines as needed to keep things running smoothly. π
- Perform physical hardware checks and fixes β from cables and connections to printers and peripherals β as guided by our remote support team. π±οΈ
- Troubleshoot basic network and Wi-Fi connectivity issues right here in the office, and handle password resets and basic account access management. πΆπ
- Keep our IT inventory spick and span by maintaining accurate records of IT assets, licenses, and system configurations. π
- Level up our reporting game by building and maintaining Excel workbooks. You'll be a pro with formulas (like VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, IF, SUMIFS), pivot tables, and conditional formatting. π
- Enter and validate data across spreadsheets and internal systems, and whip up regular reports for managers. π
- Embrace the future by using AI tools (think Copilot, ChatGPT) to boost your efficiency in IT documentation and Excel reporting. π€βοΈ
- Escalate trickier IT problems to our external IT contractors and see them through to a successful resolution. π οΈ
What you'll need:
- GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths, with a Grade 4/C or above. π―
- A genuine passion for all things IT, and you're happy being the go-to person for our remote/online support team. π₯
- You're confident diving into Excel β creating reports with formulas, pivot tables, and cool formatting is your jam. π€©
- You enjoy the variety of switching between hands-on IT tasks and data/reporting work on the same day. It keeps things interesting! π
- You're patient, methodical, and brilliant at juggling priorities. π¦
- Right to work in the UK. π¬π§
