HR Administrator (Trainee) π
Ready to kick-start your career in Human Resources? Weβre looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team and receive full training to excel in a variety of HR functions. π
What you'll be doing:
- HR Service & Admin Support: Be the go-to person for initial HR questions from employees, managers, and outside contacts via email or in person. π§π£οΈ You'll also provide crucial admin support to the HR team, handling tasks like university card processes, managing HR inboxes, and keeping our procedures in check. Plus, you'll help with casual worker recruitment, admin, and payroll. πΌ
- HR System Management: Get hands-on with our HR systems, ensuring employee records are spot-on from start to finish. You'll be tracking things like sickness, annual leave, probation, and appraisal dates. π
- Payroll Processing: Help process monthly payroll changes accurately and on time, making sure all the details are correct before submission. π°
- Recruitment & Induction Support: Play a key role in recruitment by editing job adverts, placing them, preparing shortlisting packs, and sending out candidate correspondence. You'll also assist with pre-employment checks (like right-to-work and references) and prepare offer letters and contracts. ππ€ You'll even help organise and deliver induction sessions for new hires! π§βπ«
- Compliance Champion: Ensure all HR records are kept super secure, following GDPR and Information Security policies. You'll also help maintain immigration and right-to-work requirements, and payroll procedures, seeking guidance when needed. π
- Reporting & Academic Support: Run basic reports from HR systems to support our daily operations and checks. Youβll also contribute to the review process for Associate Professors' Initial Period of Office and manage all honorary titles within the Medical Sciences Division. ππ
- Teamwork & Growth: Commit to ongoing training and development to stay sharp on HR systems, procedures, and policies. π§ Build strong, reliable relationships with the HR team, colleagues, and stakeholders to ensure smooth HR operations and promote a positive image of our university. π±π€

Key responsibilities
