About the role
Automotive Technician 🛠️
Are you ready to dive into the future of vehicles and keep them running like a dream? We're looking for driven individuals to join our team as Automotive Technicians! If you've got a passion for all things mechanical and electrical, this is your chance to get hands-on with cutting-edge automotive tech. 🚗💨
What you'll be doing:
- Prep Like a Pro: Before kicking off any repair, you'll get everything set up perfectly. This includes mastering things like safely disarming airbags and taking electrical precautions, plus running diagnostic checks to understand the issue before you even start. 💯
- Decode the Tech: You'll be reading and understanding technical data, specs, and methods to nail your pre-repair preparations. Think of yourself as a vehicle detective! 🕵️♀️
- The Full Repair Package: Get ready to remove, fix, and replace a wide range of vehicle systems. We're talking engines, gearboxes, suspension, and all the mechanical and electrical wizardry, including those cool autonomous features like Anti-lock Braking Systems (ABS), airbags, and sensors like RADAR and LIDAR. Safety first, always! 💪
- Master the Onboard Computer: You'll be diagnosing and fixing issues within the vehicle's management system (its brain!) and all its electrical components. 🧠
- Spot What's Needed: Identify and let the team know exactly which extra parts are required for the job. 🛒
- Tool Time! You'll become an expert in using all the right tools and equipment. From Geometry Wheel Aligners for perfect wheel alignment to diagnostic hardware to pinpoint faults and recalibrate parts, and torque wrenches to ensure everything is tightened just right. 🔧
- Rebuilding & Reinstating: After the repairs are done, you'll be responsible for rebuilding the vehicle and bringing all the crucial safety systems back online. This includes re-installing airbags, seat belts, advanced driver-assistance systems (ADAS), cameras, and those sophisticated RADAR and LIDAR systems that help prevent collisions. 🚀
- Air Conditioning Ace: If you're qualified in refrigerant handling (meeting the latest legislative requirements like EC842 2006), you'll be the go-to for repairing or replacing air conditioning and climate control components like condensers and compressor pumps. ❄️
Join us and be part of the automotive revolution! ✨
