Job Title: Clinical Support Assistant 🩺

Are you ready to kickstart your healthcare career? We're on the lookout for enthusiastic individuals to join our tight-knit, experienced nursing and GP support squad. This is a prime chance to dive into the world of patient care and sharpen your clinical skills. If you're a whiz at venepuncture (aka drawing blood 💉) and feel confident handling essential clinical tasks like ECGs and blood pressure monitoring, we want to hear from you!

What you'll be doing:

  • Juggling the phone and booking appointments like a pro 🗓️
  • Handling patient questions and queries, whether it's a call or a chat at the front desk 🙋‍♀️
  • Keeping our main inbox organised and making sure every email gets a response 📧
  • Digitising important hospital docs by scanning them into patient records 📄
  • Welcoming new patients and getting them set up 🤝
  • Connecting with patients to arrange crucial follow-up tests or appointments on behalf of our GPs 📞
  • Being the friendly face at reception, checking patients in, booking appointments, handing out prescriptions, and answering any questions they might have! 👋

Bonus points if you've got skills in:

  • Phlebotomy (fancy term for blood drawing!) 🩸
  • Blood pressure monitoring 💪
  • ECGs (electrocardiograms) ❤️
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Diabetic Foot Checks 🦶
  • Vitamin B12 Injections 💉

Key responsibilities

  • Managing patient reception, appointments, and general enquiries.
  • Performing administrative tasks, including email management and scanning patient records.
  • Registering new patients.
  • Contacting patients on behalf of GPs to arrange further tests / appointments.
  • Assisting with basic clinical duties such as venepuncture, ECGs, and blood pressure monitoring.
