What you'll be doing:

• Keeping accurate bookkeeping records for awesome clients. 📊
• Handling sales and purchase invoices, expenses, and bank transactions like a pro. 🧾
• Reconciling bank and other accounts like a puzzle master. 🧩
• Helping to get year-end accounts, management accounts, and tax return info ready. 🗓️
• Lending a hand with VAT returns. ✅
• Supporting payroll processing – gathering info, entering data, and double-checking reports. 💰
• Answering basic client questions and passing tougher ones to the experts. 🗣️
• Chasing up missing client info and keeping records fresh. 📁
• Using accounting, payroll, and spreadsheet software like a wizard. 💻
• Keeping electronic files super organised and accurate. 🗃️
• Handling client info with the utmost confidentiality and sticking to data protection rules. 🔒
• Assisting with tasks related to HMRC and Companies House, with guidance. 🏛️
• Supporting the wider Brown & Rear team with general accountancy and admin duties. 👋

Key responsibilities

• Maintaining bookkeeping records for a range of clients
• Processing sales and purchase invoices, expenses and bank transactions
• Completing bank and other account reconciliations
• Assisting with the preparation of year-end accounts, management accounts and information for tax returns
• Supporting the preparation of VAT returns

Entry requirements

GCSE in: (English (grade 6 or above), Maths (grade 6 or above))
