What you'll be doing:

  • Making learning exciting through play and cool activities! 🎉
  • Noticing and celebrating kids' progress and helping them take their next steps. 📈
  • Assisting with daily care routines like nappy changes, meal times, and helping kids get ready for sleep. 😴
  • Boosting kids' confidence, independence, and how they talk and make friends. 🤗
  • Building awesome connections with kids, families, and your work buddies. 🤝
  • Helping keep our learning spaces (inside and out!) super clean, safe, and engaging. ✨
  • Following all our policies on safety, privacy, and making everyone feel welcome. 💯
  • Showing up for training, team meetings, and your apprenticeship reviews. 🗓️
  • Smashing all your apprenticeship work and learning! 💪

You'll report to your Room Leader, mentor, and Nursery Manager, and work with kids, parents, and the rest of our fantastic team every day. 🌈

Key responsibilities

  • Supporting children’s learning and development through play and planned activities
  • Completing observations and contributing to assessments and children’s next steps
  • Supporting physical care routines, including nappy changing, toileting, mealtimes, sleep routines and personal hygiene
  • Encouraging children’s communication, confidence, independence and social development
  • Building positive and professional relationships with children, parents, carers and colleagues
