Ready to get your hands dirty and grow a career? 🤩 Tensor, a British tech company with a green thumb for innovation, is looking for an enthusiastic Garden Apprentice to join our team at the stunning Hail Weston House in Cambridgeshire. This is your chance to learn the ropes from seasoned pros and earn your Level 2 Horticulture qualification along the way! 🌱

What you'll be doing:

  • Master the basics: Get hands-on experience with a wide range of horticultural tasks across our 5-acre gardens. Think weeding, planting, hedge cutting, and keeping our plant beds looking 💯.
  • Become a plant whisperer: Learn how to care for all sorts of plants, from sunny flowerbeds to shady nooks, and understand what it takes to keep our grounds looking lush and attractive. 🌸
  • Tool time! Get skilled in using and maintaining gardening tools and equipment safely and effectively. 🛠️
  • Greenhouse vibes: Spend time in our greenhouses, learning the ins and outs of growing and nurturing plants in a controlled environment. 🌡️
  • Level up your skills: As you gain confidence and knowledge, you'll take on more responsibility, managing specific areas and even diving into propagation and cultivation. 🚀
  • Lawn care champ: Get involved with grass cutting, lawn maintenance, and general upkeep of our beautiful landscaped areas. 💇‍♀️

Key responsibilities

  • Weeding, planting, hedge cutting and maintaining plant beds.
  • Assisting with general seasonal garden maintenance.
  • Working in greenhouses, growing and caring for plants in a controlled environment.
  • Grass cutting, lawn maintenance, strimming and general upkeep of grassed and landscaped areas.
  • Managing designated areas and taking responsibility for plant material.
