Reporting to the Headteacher and Senior Finance Officer, you'll be learning the ropes from our experienced Caretaker. This is your chance to gain practical skills in everything from site maintenance and health & safety to facilities management. You'll be hands-on, contributing to the daily success of our school and ensuring our premises and grounds are secure, functional, and looking great! ✨

Your daily grind will involve:

  • Assisting with general maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment.
  • Helping to keep our indoor and outdoor spaces looking tip-top through cleaning and upkeep. 🧼
  • Playing a vital role in site security, including opening and locking up procedures. πŸ”
  • Supporting health and safety checks to keep everyone safe. βœ…
  • Setting up rooms for lessons, events, and activities – you'll be the setup superhero! 🦸
  • Getting your hands dirty with basic gardening and grounds maintenance. 🌱
  • Spotting and reporting any issues or hazards to the Site Manager. 🚨

We’re looking for someone who:

  • Has some experience in manual work or roles involving manual handling. πŸ’ͺ
  • Lives within a reasonable distance of the school. πŸ“

Key responsibilities

  • Assisting with the general maintenance and repair of school buildings and equipment
