What you'll be doing:

Clinical Champion:

• Accurately prepare and dispense prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. 📜
• Support pharmacists in delivering essential NHS and private services. ✅
• Master prescription interpretation and processing. 🤓
• Maintain confidential patient records and manage repeat prescriptions. 🗓️
• Follow procedures, spot issues, and flag them up. 👀
• Collaborate with GPs, nurses, and other healthcare pros to improve patient health. 🤝
• Keep your skills and knowledge totally up-to-date. 🧠

Stock & Retail Guru:

• Manage stock levels – ordering, receiving, and organizing medicines and health products. 📦
• Build relationships with suppliers and help us get the best deals. 💰
• Keep shelves stocked, labelled, and in date, removing expired items. ✨
• Help set up eye-catching promotional displays and health campaigns. 📣
• Conduct stock audits. 🔢
• Contribute to hitting daily and weekly service targets. 🎯

Shop Floor Superstar:

• Assist with opening and closing, cash handling, and till reconciliation. 💸
• Keep the shop floor clean, tidy, and inviting. 🧼
• Unpack deliveries, restock shelves, and organize storage. 📂
• Work with the team to keep things running smoothly, especially during busy times. 🏃‍♀️

Customer Service King/Queen:

• Greet every customer with a smile and handle enquiries patiently. 😊
• Offer expert advice on over-the-counter medicines and health products, knowing when to ask the pharmacist. 🤔
• Process transactions accurately. 💯
• Handle complaints calmly and know when to get help. 😌
• Explain how to use medicines correctly and promote our services. 🗣️

Social Media Maestro: 📱

• Be our voice online! Take charge of our Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Create engaging content – short videos, photos, stories – showcasing our work and team.
• Promote services, campaigns, and new products.
• Monitor comments and messages, responding promptly and professionally.
• Help grow our local online community and flag reviews.
• Always follow GPhC and ASA guidelines (no patient info or photos of prescriptions!). 🤫

Who we're looking for:

• Someone passionate about working in pharmacy specifically. ❤️
• Ready to commit to the full 18-month program. 💯
• Willing to study at home for coursework alongside full-time work. 📚
• Reliable and punctual – you'll be essential to opening the pharmacy! ⏰
• Comfortable being the person patients trust with personal health matters. 🙏

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and dispense prescription medication accurately under supervision.
• Manage stock levels, including ordering, receiving, and organising products.
• Provide warm and professional customer service, dealing with enquiries and processing transactions.
• Support daily operations, including opening/closing procedures and maintaining shop floor presentation.
• Take ownership of the pharmacy's social media presence, creating engaging content and monitoring interactions.
