What you'll be doing:

  • Keeping our construction sites clean and organised. 🧹
  • Digging trenches for foundations – think of it as laying the groundwork for awesome projects! πŸ› οΈ
  • Setting up sites, including putting up barriers, safety signs, and huts to ensure a secure environment. 🚧
  • Assisting with site evacuations when needed. 🚨
  • Reading and understanding drawings and specifications to bring designs to life. πŸ“
  • Laying pavements, kerbs, and driveways – making spaces functional and look good. πŸšΆβ€β™€οΈπŸš—
  • Working with drainage and pipework systems. πŸ’§
  • Operating plant machinery like excavators and dumper trucks (training provided!). 🚜
  • Preparing the ground and foundations for construction to commence. ⛰️
  • Redirecting waterways and connecting pipes to existing infrastructure. 🌊

Your Training Journey:

You'll kick things off with an intensive 8-week pre-apprenticeship at CETC:

  • Weeks 1-4: Get site-ready with your CSCS card, Brickwork Level 1 Certificate, and vital Health & Safety training. βœ…
  • Weeks 5-8: Gain paid, on-site experience through a sponsorship, preparing you for the main event! πŸ’°

The Apprenticeship:

After the pre-apprenticeship, you'll transition onto a full 18-month Groundworks Level 2 apprenticeship program at CETC campus, complete with a contract of employment. πŸ“œ
