What You'll Do:

  • Collaborate with experienced Sheet Metal Engineers, mastering all aspects of the trade. 🛠️
  • Learn by doing, gaining invaluable experience under the watchful eye of qualified professionals. 👀
  • Assist engineers with various tasks and take on your own projects with supervision.
  • Develop skills in:
  • Manual Machining: Set up and operate machines for Drilling, Tapping, Reaming, and Graining. ⚙️
  • CNC Machining: Set up and operate machines for Cutting, Bending, Punching, and Insert installation. 💻
  • CNC Programming: Create precise digital instructions for computer-controlled machines to manufacture components with accuracy. 🎯
  • Welding: Train in techniques like Spot Welding, Stud Welding, MIG, and TIG welding. 🔥

Your Development:

  • Undertake an NVQ training course to become a fully qualified Fine Limit Sheet Metal Engineer. 🎓

Key responsibilities

  • Assist engineers to complete certain tasks
  • Complete work whilst supervised
  • Set up and operate manual machines for operations such as Drilling, Tapping, Reaming, and Graining
  • Set up and operate CNC machines for operations such as Cutting, Bending, Punching, and Insert installation
  • Create precise digital instructions for CNC programming

GCSE in: (English language (grade 3), Maths (grade 3), Science (or STEM based subject) (grade 3))
