What you'll be doing:

  • Assisting in the prep, lining, and dressing of coffins – ensuring every detail is handled with care. 💖
  • Carrying out removals of the deceased with dignity from homes, nursing homes, and hospitals. 🏡🏥
  • Providing assistance with Coroner's removals when needed. ⚖️
  • Driving funeral vehicles, performing bearing duties, and transporting ministers. 🚗🕊️
  • Daily cleaning, maintenance, and prep of funeral vehicles – keeping our fleet in top condition. ✨
  • Meeting, assisting, and welcoming bereaved families and visitors at the Chapel of Rest – offering a comforting presence. 🤗
  • Supporting the funeral directing team with operational duties and document delivery. 📝
  • Participating in the out-of-hours on-call rota for removals and family visits – flexibility is key! ⏰
