Highway Maintenance Operative ๐Ÿ‘ทโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿšง

Are you ready to get hands-on and make a real difference in your community? We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team and help keep our roads safe and looking their best!

What you'll be doing:

  • Carrying out regular and scheduled maintenance to keep things running smoothly.
  • Tackling small civil projects, looking after drainage, and patching up roads.
  • Keeping up top technical skills and joining project meetings to stay in the loop.
  • Driving and operating a range of vehicles and plant, both general and specialised.
  • Performing essential vehicle checks before each shift โ€“ oil, water, cleaning, and spotting any issues.
  • Getting involved in all sorts of highway maintenance, from litter picking to winter gritting and emergency call-outs.
  • Being a safety champion! Looking after yourself and your team, following health and safety rules, and keeping the public safe.
  • Accurately logging your hours, time, and how resources are used.
  • Keeping records, filling out paperwork, and chatting with colleagues, subcontractors, emergency services, police, and the public.

Key responsibilities

  • Accurately record information and complete necessary paperwork.
