Ready to kickstart an exciting career in healthcare? We're looking for motivated individuals to join our friendly team on a 2-year fixed-term contract, with a fantastic opportunity to train and qualify as a Pharmacy Technician! 💊

Upon successful completion of your training and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC), you'll be opening doors to diverse roles like medicines optimisation, clinical trials, procurement, aseptic dispensing, medicines safety, education, and much more! ✨

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Enrolling in an Apprenticeship Pharmacy Technician Training Programme to gain essential knowledge and skills.
  • Working alongside healthcare professionals, patients, and carers to deliver top-notch pharmacy services, always under the expert supervision of a pharmacist or technician. 🤝
  • Developing excellent communication skills to connect with a wide range of people.
  • Becoming super organised and detail-oriented, ensuring everything runs smoothly. 💯
  • Demonstrating self-motivation and commitment to excel in your studies and practical experience.

Your Week:

  • 4 days a week: Gain hands-on vocational experience in our pharmacies.
  • 1 day a week: Dive into your studies with our course provider to complete your underpinning knowledge modules. 📚

What We're Looking For:

  • A minimum of 4 GCSEs at grade 4 or C (or equivalent), including English, Maths, and at least one science subject. 🎓
  • Awesome communication skills.
  • The ability to work efficiently and stay extremely organised.
  • An eagle eye for detail.
  • A self-starter attitude and commitment to learning.

Location & Travel:

  • Your primary base will be our pharmacy at The Wells Road Centre.
  • You'll also experience rotations across our Trust sites, including Highbury Hospital, Lings Bar Hospital, Blossomwood, and Sherwood Oaks. 🏥 So, you'll need to be able to travel between these locations. A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is essential (but we'll make reasonable adjustments for disabled individuals). 🚗

  • This post is a 2-year fixed-term contract.

  • Successful applicants will need to pay for their DBS check (£26.40 standard or £54.40 enhanced), with the cost deducted from your salary over the first two months. Consider enrolling in the DBS Update Service (£16 annual fee).
