What You'll Be Doing:
Working closely with our pharmacists, you'll dive into the essential skills needed to keep our pharmacy running smoothly and safely. This includes:
- 🔬 Accurately dispensing and labelling medications.
- 📦 Assembling prescriptions with precision.
- 📦 Managing pharmaceutical stock and keeping an eye on expiry dates. 📅
- 🔒 Maintaining confidential patient records with care.
- ✅ Following our Standard Operating Procedures to the T.
- 🗣️ Providing support to patients by advising on safe medication use and knowing when to pass more complex questions to the pharmacist.
Your Goal:
To develop the expertise and professional competence to safely prepare, dispense, and supply medications under the guidance of registered healthcare pros. This is a fantastic opportunity to balance hands-on work with dedicated study, working towards becoming a fully qualified and registered Pharmacy Technician. 💯
How You'll Learn:
You'll get a mix of on-the-job training and structured off-the-job learning, including college sessions, as part of an accredited Level 3 apprenticeship. You'll also build your skills through competency portfolios, collecting workplace evidence, and completing assignments to meet the GPhC standards. 📚
What You Need:
- 4 x GCSEs at grade C (4) or higher, including Maths, English, and one Science. 💯
- To be eligible for funding, you must have been a UK resident for the past three years. 🇬🇧
- You must be 18 or over upon completion of your apprenticeship to qualify for employment. 🎉
