What you'll be doing:
As a Health Records Clerk, youβll be the go-to person ensuring patient case notes are ready for all appointments, from emergency situations to planned procedures. π
Bonus points if you:
- Have a driving licence and are over 21! π You could be added to our rota for delivering urgent case notes across the Trust (a vehicle is provided!).
Youβll receive top-notch training in our main library environment, and then you'll move onto reception, becoming a friendly face and the first point of contact for patients attending appointments. You'll be responsible for making sure all demographic details are spot-on in our system. π―
The Deets:
- Apprenticeship: Business Administration, Level 3
- Training Provider: Dudley College
- Duration: 18-month fixed-term contract
Eligibility:
- Essential: Maths & English GCSEs at grade D (or 3-9) or equivalent Functional Skills Level 1. Please bring your original certificates! π
- Important Note: If you're 16-18 and have a grade D/3 in Maths or English, you'll need to complete Functional Skills to achieve Level 2.
You're not eligible if you have:
- A degree or higher qualification in Business Admin or a similar field. π
- An NVQ/QCF or Apprenticeship Standard Level 3 or higher in Business Administration.
- Started or partially completed a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. (Please declare if this is you!)

Key responsibilities
- Ensure availability of case notes for patient events.
- Deliver urgent and elective case notes (if eligible for driving rota).
- Act as the first point of contact for patients on reception.
- Ensure accuracy of demographic details on the PAS system.

Essential qualifications (Essential Maths & English at GCSE grade D or above / 3 - 9, or the equivalent Functional Skills at Level 1 Desirable NVQ level 2 in Business and Administration or equivalent)
