What you'll be doing:
- Assisting experienced Radiographers and Radiologists with imaging procedures, making sure our patients feel comfy and cared for. 🤗
- Learning to perform general radiography and fluoroscopy examinations under expert supervision, following all the cool departmental protocols. 💡
- Helping out with essential admin tasks using our IT systems – basically, becoming a pro at booking patients and managing requests! 💻
- You'll split your time between hands-on work at UHS and focused study blocks at university, so get ready to level up your knowledge! 📚
What we're looking for:
- Someone who's energetic, takes initiative, and loves working with people. ⚡
- A team player with a genuine passion for patient care. ❤️
- Bonus points if you have some experience with planar and fluoroscopic imaging (but not a dealbreaker!).
- You'll need to meet the entry requirements for the university apprenticeship program – we'll guide you through it! ✅
Eligibility Check:
- You need to be 16 or over when the apprenticeship starts.
- Have the right to work in England with enough time left on your visa if applicable. 🇬🇧
- Usually been living in the UK for the last three years (some exceptions apply!).
- Not currently in full-time education or another apprenticeship. 🚫
- Ready to commit to the whole apprenticeship program – it's a marathon, not a sprint! 🏃♀️
- No prior qualifications or experience that completely covers what you'll learn in this apprenticeship.

Key responsibilities
- Undertake general radiography and fluoroscopy examinations under supervision.
- Assist radiographers and radiologists with imaging procedures and patient care.
- Undertake administrative tasks such as booking patients and using electronic systems.
Entry requirements
Essential qualifications (Essential A-Levels or BTEC National or equivalent (in a relevant subject) 120 points, including one of the sciences or social science GCSE Maths and English (at least grade C or 5) or functional skills level 3 or equivalent qualification)
