About the role

We are KPMG in the UK, part of a global organisation of independent firms that offers Audit, Tax,

Consulting and Technology services. More than 16,000 colleagues working together to make the

difference for businesses, people and communities.

What is Tax at KPMG?

Tax is changing quickly, shaped by new technology, increased regulation and greater expectations

around transparency. Governments are also using tax to support environmental and social goals. It

makes this a fast-moving, challenging and exciting area to begin your career.

We help clients understand these developments, navigate complex requirements and stay compliant by

providing timely, accurate advice and information.

Tax Apprenticeship

Our Tax practice works with organisations of all sizes across a wide range of specialisms. From day one,

you’ll work on high-profile projects as part of a collaborative team. You’ll help clients navigate complex tax

policy and regulation, so they can stay compliant and pay the right tax at the right time.

Along the way, you’ll tackle challenges at the heart of their organisations, gain a broad understanding of

how businesses operate and build valuable technical skills. It’s experience that can open up many

different routes for your future career.

Key responsibilities

Tax offers you the opportunity to work on a variety of high-profile projects whilst building a career that could take many different routes. Part of a team that works collaboratively with clients, you will help them navigate complex tax policy landscapes and stay compliant with regulation, by paying the right tax at the right time. You will also tackle challenges at the heart of client organisations and develop a broad understanding of how businesses operate, whilst you develop valuable technical skills and professional qualifications.

What the role offers

On this programme, you’ll study towards the AAT Levels 3 and 4, plus the Level 7 ACA professional

qualification or CA equivalent in Scotland. These qualifications are fully funded by KPMG and are

supported by an extensive programme of internal training spanning both personal and professional

development.

We offer an annual salary of £25,500 to £28,000, and a host of great benefits too, including 25 days’

holiday, study leave and a day off on your birthday. What’s more, you can take up to six days of time off to take part in volunteering initiatives.

Our firm’s hybrid working model balances the flexibility of working from home with the importance of
