You'll be the go-to person for all things IT hardware, ensuring everything is tracked, organised, and ready for action.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Gear Up & Inspect: Receive and check out all incoming tech β think laptops, desktops, monitors, phones, and more! π¦
- Become an Asset Ninja: Accurately record every detail of the equipment: asset numbers, serial numbers, make, model, and its condition. π
- System Savvy: Keep our IT asset management systems and spreadsheets totally up-to-date. π»
- Label Like a Pro: Tag and organise equipment according to our super-specific customer procedures. π·οΈ
- Track the Tech Trail: Follow the journey of equipment as it moves between users, storage, and deployment. πΊοΈ
- Prep for Success: Get equipment ready for collection, deployment, returns, or disposal. π
- Keep it Tidy & Secure: Maintain an organised and super-secure storage area for all our IT gear. π
Secure Data Wiping Specialist π§Ό
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to ensure customer data is wiped clean and secure!
- Erase with Excellence: Perform secure data wiping on laptops, desktops, hard drives, and other storage devices, following all company and customer procedures. β
- Upgrade Champion: Handle operating system upgrades with precision. β¬οΈ
- Follow the Rules: Adhere strictly to approved data-erasure processes and software.
- Record Keeper Extraordinaire: Document all completed wipes and maintain impeccable audit records. ποΈ
- Troubleshoot & Escalate: Flag any equipment that can't be wiped successfully or needs extra attention. π©
- Data Guardian: Handle all equipment with customer data securely and confidentially at all times. π€«
IT Support Whiz Kid π§βπ»
Lend a hand to our IT technicians and be the first point of contact for tech issues!
- 1st/2nd Line Support: Provide essential IT support to users.
- Hardware Helper: Assist IT technicians with daily hardware and technical support tasks.
- Basic Troubleshooting: Diagnose and fix common issues with laptops, desktops, monitors, and peripherals. π οΈ
- Setup Superstar: Help set up and prepare equipment for both new and existing users.
- Deployment & Collection Crew: Support the smooth deployment and collection of IT equipment.
- Software Sidekick: Assist with basic software installation and configuration.
- Escalate When Needed: Know when to pass complex technical challenges to our senior IT team members. β¬οΈ

- Audit Trail Ace: Maintain clear audit trails for all equipment and data-wiping activities.
- Stock Checker Extraordinaire: Assist with stock checks and periodic IT asset audits.
- Spot the Difference: Identify any discrepancies and report them to the appropriate team member. π
Key responsibilities
- Receive, inspect, record, and track IT equipment and assets.
- Perform secure data wiping of storage devices in accordance with protocols.
- Assist with 1st/2nd line IT support, troubleshooting, and equipment setup.
- Engage professionally with customers, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to procedures.
- Maintain accurate records, complete required documentation, and assist with audits.
