About the role

🚀 Pupil Support Assistant 🚀

Ready to make a real difference in young people's lives? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our team as a Pupil Support Assistant! You'll be working directly with students, helping them unlock their full potential and achieve their learning goals. ✨

What you'll be doing:

  • Teaming up with teachers, special educational needs coordinators (SENDCo), specialists, and parents/carers to make sure every student's Individual Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) is smashing it. 🤝
  • Building awesome connections with the students you'll be supporting. 🌟
  • Boosting literacy and numeracy skills through fun and engaging activities. 📚
  • Keeping your expectations sky-high for every student. 📈
  • Becoming an expert on each student's strengths, challenges, and what gets in their way of learning. 🧠
  • Ensuring students have every chance to dive into learning opportunities. 💡
  • Knowing the game plan: understanding agreed outcomes, targets, and provisions from their EHCP or similar reports. 🎯
  • Showing up to regular reviews and school meetings when needed. 🗓️
  • Participating in training sessions to level up your skills. 🎓
  • Keeping accurate records and gathering evidence to see what's working and what's not. 📊
  • Chatting regularly with the class teacher, SENDCo, specialists, and parents/carers about student progress. 🗣️
  • Building solid relationships with other staff members who are also supporting the students. 💯
  • Championing positive behaviour, following school policies, and keeping students focused on their learning journey. 👍

If you're passionate about education and eager to support students in achieving their best, we want to hear from you! 🎉

Key responsibilities
