You'll be working with an incredible range of pupils, many of whom have severe and profound learning difficulties, and a significant number are on the Autistic Spectrum and may exhibit challenging behaviours. Your commitment to inclusion will be key! ✨

What you'll be doing:

• Providing direct support to individual pupils or small groups, helping them smash their learning goals. 🎯
• Following exciting lesson plans and supporting engaging activities. 🎨
• Observing and reporting on behaviour to help maintain our positive school environment. 🍎
• Boosting pupils' physical, emotional, and educational growth through activities and play. 🧸
• Supervising and championing safe behaviour for everyone. 👍
• Reinforcing learning habits and routines to help pupils access the curriculum. 📚
• Getting materials and resources ready to create an awesome learning space. 📁

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct support for the learning of individual children or groups of children to achieve defined progression targets.
• Report behaviour observations to a teacher.
• Facilitate children’s general physical, emotional and educational development through activities and play.
• Supervise and encourage safe behaviour of individuals and groups.
• Prepare, store, retrieve, sort and display materials, finished work, equipment, topic work plans and/or assignment documents.
