About the Role:
You'll be the backbone of our tech support for schools, ensuring they can use technology with confidence. Think of yourself as a tech superhero, swooping in to fix issues and make digital learning a breeze for students and teachers. π¦ΈββοΈπ¦ΈββοΈ Youβll be handling first-line tech problems, managing networks, and building awesome relationships with school staff. Honesty, trust, and respect are key! π€
Key Responsibilities:
- Be the go-to person for tech issues for your assigned schools. π±
- Tackle and fix any network or equipment glitches β from software to hardware and cloud stuff. π οΈ
- Keep all your records updated in real-time with super-detailed notes. π
- Be the main point of contact with tech manufacturers, suppliers, and other external support teams. π
- Manage your own tasks and time to hit service goals and keep systems running smoothly. β°
- Always look for ways to make our service even better and more efficient for schools. π‘
- Identify problems, fix them if you can, or escalate them, always offering solutions with a smile! π
- Maintain top-notch professional relationships with everyone you interact with. π
What You'll Need (Desirable):
- A valid driver's license and your own car (mileage covered, of course!). ππ¨
- Flexibility to travel to CT149SF, CT1 1XU, CT19 5QX. π
- Basic IT skills β you know your way around a computer. π±οΈ
- A massive willingness to learn and grow! π±
- You're a natural team player. π―
- Great communication skills β you can explain tech stuff clearly. π£οΈ
- An eye for detail β nothing gets past you. π
- Initiative and drive β you go the extra mile. π
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grade 3+ (D or above).
- You shouldn't already have a qualification at the same or a higher level in a similar subject.
- Got international qualifications? We'll need official proof of how they compare to UK standards.
Working Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
- Shifts: 8am - 4pm or 8:30am - 4:30pm.
