Join The Nursery School Storrington as an Apprentice Educator and help us shape a truly incredible learning environment for our children! You'll be working as part of an awesome team, gaining hands-on experience while studying for your Level 3 Childcare qualification. 🤩

Your apprenticeship journey will involve:

• Creating a Welcoming Vibe: Champion our nursery's ethos by providing a warm, safe, and inspiring space where every child feels right at home. 🤗
• Child Well-being & Learning: Under the guidance of our Senior and Qualified practitioners, you'll ensure the happiness, care, and learning opportunities for all children, including those with additional needs. 💖
• Activity Support: Help plan and prepare engaging activities tailored to each child's unique needs, and communicate effectively with parents to achieve shared goals. 🗣️
• Boosting Independence: Assist in delivering learning experiences that empower children to grow in confidence and independence within a stimulating environment. 🌱
• Nurturing Relationships: Build positive connections with children, role-modelling excellent behaviour and supporting their emotional well-being, confidence, and self-esteem. 🥰
• Observation & Assessment: Help record observations, assessments, and monitor children's learning and development, using various methods to inform our planning. 📝
• Mealtime Support: Supervise mealtimes and assist with food preparation for babies, always prioritising safe eating practices. 🍎🍼
• Policy Adherence: Strictly follow our Allergies and Allergic Reactions Policy, as well as the Sleep Policy, to ensure the safety of children with allergies and during sleep times. ✅
• Promoting Inclusion: Understand and actively promote our policies on inclusion and equality. 🌍
• Team Player: Be a dependable and flexible member of our team, working collaboratively with colleagues. 🤝
• Flexible Hours: Be prepared to work flexible hours as requested by the Nursery Manager. ⏰
• Other Duties: Undertake any other appropriate duties as directed by the Nursery Manager and Company Directors. 🌟

Key responsibilities

• Provide a warm, welcoming, and stimulating environment for children.
• Ensure the well-being and care of all children, supporting their access to learning.
• Assist with the planning and preparation of activities to meet children’s individual needs.
• Nurture positive relationships and role model positive behaviour to promote children's emotional well-being, confidence, and self-esteem.
• Assist in recording observations, assessments, and monitoring of children’s learning and development.
