As an Apprentice, you'll gain the skills, knowledge, and confidence to provide top-notch, compassionate, and person-centred care to residents in our welcoming homes and hospitals. You'll complete a structured development program leading to a Level 2 qualification within the apprenticeship timeframe. 📚 Working alongside experienced mentors and care staff, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding care and embracing our unique "Whole Home Approach" within the Care and Life Enrichment Framework.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Delivering Person-Centred Care: Assist residents with personal care, daily activities, and help them maintain independence, always respecting their individual support plans. Your goal? To champion dignity, privacy, choice, consent, and confidentiality every single day. 💖
  • Enriching Lives: Contribute to residents' overall wellbeing and happiness by participating in meaningful life enrichment activities.
  • Supporting the Team: Work closely with experienced care staff to observe, plan, and maintain accurate digital care records.
  • Promoting Wellbeing: Help encourage residents' physical activity and overall sense of wellbeing.

Keeping Things Safe & Professional:

  • Following the Rules: Stick to company policies, procedures, and all statutory requirements.
  • Safeguarding First: Understand and follow local safeguarding procedures and Duty of Candour requirements.
  • Accurate Records: Ensure all care records are spot-on, person-centred, and meet high standards.
  • Safety First: Report accidents and incidents promptly to keep everyone safe and manage risks.
  • Stay Trained: Complete all mandatory and regulatory training on time and keep your knowledge of Barchester policies up-to-date.
  • Confidentiality is Key: Always maintain strict confidentiality.
