What You'll Be Doing:
You'll be working shoulder-to-shoulder with seasoned IT pros, helping to build, deploy, and maintain awesome IT and network solutions for both SNO and our clients. Your mission, should you choose to accept it:
- Assist in the development, testing, and deployment of cool new IT and network solutions. 💡
- Back up our Network Operations Centre (NOC) with tech troubleshooting and support, guided by experienced engineers. 🆘
- Get hands-on with Microsoft tech, including Microsoft 365 and Azure. 🟦
- Explore networking gear from top vendors like Ubiquiti, Cisco/Meraki, Nokia, and Fortinet. 🔗
- Help with technical investigations and find the root cause of issues. 🤔
- Keep our documentation game strong and contribute to our internal knowledge base. ✍️
- Create reports and support daily operational tasks. 📊
- Tackle technical projects designed to boost your knowledge and practical skills. 🛠️
What We're Looking For:
No professional experience? No worries! We're searching for curious, enthusiastic individuals with a serious passion for technology. If you're someone who:
- Has a genuine buzz for IT, networking, and all things tech, and is eager to learn. 🧠
- Crushes problems and has a keen eye for detail. 👀
- Communicates like a pro, both in writing and speaking. 🗣️
- Can smash it both solo and as part of a team. 🤝
- Is a master of organising your workload and managing your time. ⏳
- Has a basic grasp of networking and operating systems (a bonus!). ➕
- Is familiar with Python or JavaScript (highly desirable). 🐍
- Has a full, clean driver's licence and access to a vehicle (desirable). 🚗
- Can reliably get to and from Oswestry, Shropshire (essential). 📍
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
- You must not already have a qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship in a similar field.
Working Hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm (with a 30-minute lunch break). ⏰
