Learning Support Assistant 📚✨

Ready to make a real impact? We're looking for passionate individuals to join our team as Learning Support Assistants! You'll be working with students aged 18+ to help them smash their academic goals and thrive in college life. 🚀

What you'll be doing:

  • Crafting Success Plans: Using feedback from students and their families, you'll create and implement top-notch Additional Learning Support (ALS) Plans for your caseload. 📝
  • Providing Essential Support: Offer 1:1 or small group sessions to help students overcome learning challenges. 💪
  • Boosting Independence: Guide students in participating fully in college activities and develop their study skills for independent learning. 💡
  • Personal Care (as needed): Provide personal care or medical support based on individual student care plans. 🤝
  • Tech Wizards: Team up with our SEND Lead to ensure students have the best assistive tech and digital tools at their fingertips. 💻
  • Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with teaching staff to adapt learning materials and make them accessible for everyone. 🧑‍🏫
  • Track Progress: Keep detailed records of support provided and student progress on our college tracking system. 📊
  • Annual Reviews: Help out with student Annual Reviews, making sure everyone's voice is heard. 🗣️
  • Connect & Communicate: Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to build strong support networks. 📞
  • Exam Support: Assist in providing crucial support during public exams and formal assessments. ✍️

Key responsibilities
