We're seeking an enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our Global Centre of Accounts in Darlington, UK. 🇬🇧 Get ready to dive into how a major global organisation operates, gaining the tools and exposure you need to become an industry expert and truly power your potential! 🔥
What you'll be doing:
- Compiling, consolidating, and performing basic analysis of accounting and finance info 📊
- Supporting the creation of monthly and annual financial statements and reports 📈
- Making accounting adjustments with precise journal entries ✍️
- Assisting with monthly and annual account reconciliations and closing tasks 🗓️
- Reviewing financial statements and transactions for accuracy and compliance with standards 🔍
- Preparing tables, charts, and exhibits for reports 📝
- Contributing to accounting projects, big and small, as part of our awesome team! 🌟
What you'll bring:
- AAT Level 2 or equivalent in Accounting, Finance, or a Business-related field (A Level or Level 3 with Bookkeeping modules also considered) 📚
- Solid IT and MS Office skills, especially Excel 💻
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (Grade C/4+) plus 3 other subjects at Grade C/4+ 💯
- Essential knowledge of Double-entry Bookkeeping ✅
- Must be a UK resident, living here for the past 3 years. If previously an EU/EEA resident, you'll need pre-settlement or settlement status. 🛂
- Top-notch organisational skills and brilliant communication abilities 🗣️

Key responsibilities
- Compiles, consolidates, and conducts basic analysis of accounting and finance information
- Assists with the production of monthly and annual financial statements and reports
- Makes accounting adjustments through appropriate journal entries
- Assists with monthly and annual account reconciliations and close activities
- Examines a variety of financial statements and transactions for completeness, internal accuracy, and conformance with accounting standards
Entry requirements
GCSE in: (3 other subjects (grade C/4 or above), English (grade C/4 or above), Math's (grade C/4 or above))
