About the Role:
Ready to be a key player in keeping our school running smoothly and safely? 🚀 As a School Site Assistant, you'll be the go-to person for making sure our premises are in tip-top shape for students, staff, and visitors. You'll work with a supportive team to handle everything from minor maintenance tasks to ensuring everyone feels secure and welcome. This is a fantastic opportunity to learn new skills, take initiative, and make a real difference in our school community. Plus, you'll get to work with some awesome tools! 😉
What You'll Do:
- Maintenance & Upkeep: Pitch in with general day-to-day maintenance tasks. You'll get hands-on experience with things like basic carpentry, plumbing, and electrical work (all within health and safety guidelines, of course!), plus wall repairs, tiling, decorating, and keeping our grounds looking great. 🌿
- Porterage & Logistics: Help move and arrange furniture and equipment. You'll also be in charge of receiving deliveries and storing materials and goods. 📦
- School Security: Support the caretaker with opening and locking up the school. You'll also help with car park duties during busy drop-off and pick-up times, and keep track of contractors on site. 🚗
- Safety First: Play a crucial role in ensuring the health and safety of everyone on site, adhering strictly to all relevant legislation. You'll be a guardian of our school's security, especially outside of normal hours. 🛡️
- Team Player: Work collaboratively with senior staff and contribute to the overall positive atmosphere of the school. You'll also participate in training and development opportunities to grow your skills. 🌱
- Professionalism: Present a positive and welcoming image, treating everyone with courtesy and respect. You'll help foster an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued. ✨
