What you'll be doing:
- Engaging with kids: Dive into fun activities, plan and deliver programs tailored to their age group, and be a positive role model. ๐คธโโ๏ธ
- School runs: Help with collecting and dropping off children from local schools. ๐ซ
- Safety first! Strictly follow all safeguarding policies and procedures, and report any concerns immediately. Your vigilance keeps our kids safe! ๐ก๏ธ
- Child development: Observe children daily, monitor their progress using our Footsteps system, and help them smash their development goals. ๐
- Adventures! Plan and supervise safe outings and exciting cooking activities, completing risk assessments for approval. ๐ณ๐ณ
- Parent communication: Attend parent review meetings with the Deputy Manager and be a Key Worker, maintaining detailed records and targets for your key group. ๐ฃ๏ธ
- Nursery life: Help with snack preparation and cleaning equipment to keep our environment spotless and inviting. โจ
- Incident reporting: Record any accidents/incidents accurately, share with parents, and submit to the administrator. ๐
- Healthy habits: Promote a healthy lifestyle and ensure the environment is clean, stimulating, and super safe. ๐ฑ
- Team player: Keep the register up-to-date, collaborate with colleagues, and contribute to a positive team spirit. ๐ค
- Out-of-hours events: Participate in training, staff meetings, parent evenings, and fun events like the summer fayre and Christmas activities. ๐
- Growth mindset: Develop your role within the team and support student placements and volunteers with guidance. ๐ง
- Professional development: Complete all mandatory and non-mandatory training, and own your CPD log. ๐
- Collaboration: Liaise with parents, staff, and other professionals. ๐ฉโ๐ซ
- Inclusive support: Identify and support the needs of children with special educational needs, liaising with the SENCO/Manager. โค๏ธ
- Timely pickups: Ensure children are collected on time by authorised individuals. โฐ
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate programmes of activities for children.
- Adhere to all safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting any concerns.
- Monitor childrenโs development, identifying and addressing any gaps.
- Act as a key worker, preparing childrenโs records and targets.
- Ensure the environment is clean, stimulating, and safe for children.
