As an IT Apprentice, you'll dive straight into the action, starting with structured tasks like building and setting up computers, installing software, and managing user accounts. Think of it as your IT boot camp! πŸ› οΈ As you grow your skills and confidence, you'll level up to first-line support, Microsoft 365 administration, troubleshooting, and even customer-facing work. You’ll be working closely with our Field, Project, and Senior Engineering teams, giving you invaluable exposure to diverse customers and cutting-edge technologies.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Gear Up! πŸ“¦ Build, configure, and quality-check laptops and desktops using our GHS processes.
  • Software Savvy: πŸ’Ύ Install Windows updates, essential applications, security software, and standard customer configurations.
  • Account Master: βœ… Create, modify, and disable user accounts, email, and access permissions following strict procedures.
  • Prepare for Launch: πŸš€ Get customer equipment ready, including asset recording, labelling, and packing.
  • Stock Control: πŸ“Š Assist with managing incoming and outgoing goods and keeping our workshop organised.
  • Log It Like It's Hot: ✍️ Maintain accurate records of your work, including ticket notes and time entries.
  • Quick Fixes: πŸ”‘ Perform password resets and other admin tasks under supervision.

  • Eager to Learn: A willingness to take feedback, learn from mistakes, and ask questions.

Entry Requirements:

  • 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject.
  • GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above).
  • *Please note:* You shouldn't hold an existing qualification at the same or a higher level in a similar subject to this apprenticeship. Equivalent international qualifications will be considered with official comparison documents.

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 9 am – 5 pm (37.5 hours per week with a 30-minute lunch break). ⏰
