In this exciting position, you'll become a dedicated Key Person for a small group of children, creating engaging and fun learning experiences that spark curiosity. โœจ You'll also be the go-to person for parents and carers, building strong, collaborative relationships to ensure every child's unique needs are understood and met. ๐Ÿค

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Becoming a trusted Key Person for your assigned group, fostering positive connections with children and their families. ๐Ÿ‘จโ€๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿ‘งโ€๐Ÿ‘ฆ
  • Working hand-in-hand with parents and carers, forming a partnership to support each child's journey.
  • Communicating any concerns about a child's well-being, health, or the safety of our environment to the manager, always maintaining confidentiality. ๐Ÿคซ
  • Delivering stimulating play activities and age-appropriate support to help children learn and grow. ๐Ÿง 
  • Championing child safety, understanding and applying child protection procedures when needed. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
  • Actively contributing to team meetings, supervisions, and appraisals. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
  • Committing to your own professional development by attending required training. ๐ŸŽ“

This role requires a positive attitude, a genuine love for working with children, and the ability to build rapport with diverse families. A successful candidate will need to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. โœ…

Key responsibilities

  • Support children aged 6 weeks to 4 years.
  • Act as a key person to a group of children, liaising closely with parents/carers.
  • Teach children, offering an appropriate level of support and stimulating play experiences.
  • Ensure children are kept safe and understand child protection procedures.
  • Advise the manager of any concerns and actively participate in team meetings.
