Group Work Facilitator Apprentice (Adult Care Worker Level 2) π
Ready to kickstart a career in health and social care? This apprenticeship at Change Grow Live (CGL) is your chance to gain hands-on experience and earn a Level 2 qualification in Adult Care Work over 15 months! π
What you'll be doing:
- Delivering awesome group and pod work programmes, like "Foundations of Recovery". You'll team up with other facilitators to create and run engaging sessions based on proven methods, focusing on what matters most to our service users. π€
- Supporting service users from the moment they connect with us, guiding them through their recovery journey. πΆββοΈπΆββοΈ
- Learning and providing essential support, including screening, assessments, and recovery planning. You'll also learn about reducing drug and alcohol-related harm in our communities. π
- Championing involvement! You'll help promote participation from carers, service users, and the wider community, and advocate for them to access partner services. π£
- Helping people find their purpose by supporting their social reintegration, fostering recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination. πͺ
Working within the prison estate:
- You'll deliver psychosocial interventions and 1:1 support for those who find group work challenging. π€«
- Get creative and innovative to boost access to treatment and engage underrepresented communities. π‘
- Create a safe, confidential, and therapeutic learning environment. π
- Work with prison partners to assess suitability for groups, considering risk and special needs. βοΈ

- You'll be working towards your Adult Care Worker Level 2 Apprenticeship, including Maths and English Functional Skills. π

Key responsibilities
- Deliver and develop group/pod work programmes.
- Support service users from point of entry into the service and through their treatment/recovery journey.
- With training, provide screening, assessment, psychosocial interventions, recovery planning and onward referral.
- Learn about and support reducing drug and alcohol related harm to service users and the wider community.
- Deliver group-based interventions as well as providing 1:1 support for hard to engage service users.
