This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Dental Nursing, a 12-month government-funded course accredited by City & Guilds. 🚀
What you'll be doing:
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you'll be an integral part of our dental practice, working alongside our experienced dentists and team. Your role will involve:
- Providing efficient and reliable chair-side support during dental procedures.
- Assisting dentists with treatments and procedures.
- Sterilising and preparing dental equipment to the highest standards.
- Handling reception duties, including answering calls and greeting patients with a smile. 😊
- Managing patient queries and ensuring a positive patient experience from start to finish.
- Processing payments accurately. 💸
- Booking appointments and managing follow-ups.
- Maintaining patient records and ensuring confidentiality. 📝
- Supporting patient wellbeing and contributing to their overall dental journey.
- Maintaining a clean and organised dental environment, including chairs and treatment areas.
- Managing stock levels and ensuring supplies are readily available.
- Undertaking any other duties necessary to support the dental team in delivering exceptional patient care.
What you'll need:

- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- A responsible and reliable attitude.
- The ability to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. ✅
- To be willing to receive a Hepatitis B vaccine.
Training:
- Your training will be delivered on-site at the dental surgery, combining practical experience with academic learning.
- This is a Level 3 (A-level equivalent) Apprenticeship Standard.
- Functional Skills training will be provided if required.
