Ready to kickstart your career in healthcare and make a real difference? We're looking for enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Apprentice Dental Nurses! This is a fantastic 12-month, government-funded apprenticeship program, leading to a Level 3 Extended Diploma qualification from City & Guilds. ๐
What you'll be doing:
As an Apprentice Dental Nurse, you'll be a vital part of our dental surgery, gaining hands-on experience in a supportive environment. Your responsibilities will include:
- ๐ง Assisting dentists chair-side with efficiency and reliability.
- โจ Sterilising and meticulously preparing equipment for dental procedures.
- ๐ Greeting patients, answering calls, and managing reception duties.
- ๐ฌ Handling patient queries and providing a positive experience.
- ๐ฐ Processing payments.
- ๐๏ธ Booking appointments and managing follow-ups.
- โ๏ธ Accurately recording and managing patient records.
- ๐ Supporting patient wellbeing and enhancing their overall dental experience.
- ๐งผ Keeping dental areas, including chairs, clean and hygienic.
- ๐ฆ Managing stock of essential equipment and supplies.
- ๐ค Undertaking any other duties to support our dentists and senior team in delivering exceptional patient care.
What we need from you:
- โ Willingness to pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
- ๐ Ability to receive a Hepatitis B vaccine.
The Program:
- Qualification: Dental Nurse (GDC 2023) Level 3 (A level) Apprenticeship Standard.
- Training: Takes place at our dental surgery.
- Additional Support: Functional Skills training provided if required.
