What you'll be doing:
As a vital part of our team, you'll be working alongside experienced dentists and staff, gaining practical skills daily. Your responsibilities will include:
- Chair-side Support: Assisting dentists efficiently and reliably during procedures. ๐ค
- Patient Experience: Ensuring our patients feel welcomed, comfortable, and well-supported throughout their visit. ๐
- Practice Operations:
- Answering phones and greeting patients at reception. ๐
- Managing appointments, booking follow-ups, and handling patient queries. ๐๏ธ
- Processing payments accurately. ๐ณ
- Maintaining and updating patient records. ๐
- Sterilisation & Hygiene: Sterilising and preparing equipment to the highest standards, and keeping dental areas clean and tidy. ๐งผ
- Stock Management: Keeping track of essential equipment and supplies. ๐ฆ
- Team Support: Assisting dentists and the senior team in any way needed to provide excellent patient care. ๐ช
Your Training:
- Course: Dental Nurse (GDC 2023) Level 3 (A level) Apprenticeship Standard.
- Provider: HARRIET ELLIS TRAINING SOLUTIONS LIMITED.
- Location: Training will be conducted at the dental surgery.
- Off-the-Job Training: Approximately 7 hours per week, dedicated to building your skills and knowledge. ๐
- Functional Skills: Included if required.

Key responsibilities
- Provide efficient and reliable chair-side support to the dental surgery.
- Sterilise and prepare equipment for dentists.

- Record and manage patient records, oversee stock of equipment and supplies, and clean dental areas.
