What you'll be doing:

• Unpacking business processes to find cool ways to automate them or boost them with AI. 🤖
• Helping to build and test robotic process automation (RPA) bots. 💻
• Exploring AI tools like chatbots, intelligent workflows, and co-pilots. ✨
• Turning business needs into clear instructions, user stories, and test plans. 📝
• Keeping our automation scripts and bots running smoothly and up-to-date. 🔧
• Monitoring how things are working, spotting any hiccups, and helping to fix them. 👀
• Making sure our automations are solid, accurate, and do the job they're supposed to. ✅
• Chatting with users to get feedback and find ways to make things even better. 🗣️
• Keeping our documentation sharp and our knowledge base fresh. 📚
• Supporting security and compliance, including data protection and responsible AI use. 🛡️
• Jumping into project meetings and workshops. 🗓️
• Staying in the loop with the latest in automation, AI, and low-code tech. 🌐

What you'll need:

• A serious interest in automation, AI, coding, and digital transformation. 🔥
• Awesome analytical and problem-solving skills – you can break down big tasks. 🧩
• A sharp eye for detail and a systematic approach to everything you do. 🧐
• Great communication skills and confidence chatting with everyone. 👋
• A hunger to learn new tech and ways of working. 🚀

Bonus points if you have:

• A basic understanding of coding, scripting, databases, or logic. 🤓
• Experience with Microsoft 365 (Excel, Teams, Power Platform). ☁️
• An awareness of how businesses run and how processes work. 📈
• An interest in AI ethics, data privacy, and using tech responsibly. ⚖️
• Any experience with automation tools, coding clubs, personal projects, or relevant courses. 🏅

Entry requirements:

• Level 3 Qualification (like an Apprenticeship, A Levels, BTEC) OR at least 2 years of relevant work experience, PLUS 5 GCSEs (including English & Maths at Grade 4/C or above).
• We're flexible! If you have a mix of qualifications and experience that shows you've got the foundation, you could still be considered.
• If your qualifications are from outside the UK, we'll need an official document comparing them to UK standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in analysing business processes to identify opportunities for automation, AI support or workflow improvement.
• Support the design, build, testing and deployment of RPA bots using approved automation platforms.
• Help develop AI-enabled solutions such as intelligent workflows and chatbots.
• Translate business requirements into clear process maps, user stories, test scripts and solution documentation.
• Maintain and update existing bots, workflows and automation scripts under supervision.
