What You'll Be Doing:
- Be the go-to for staff and pupils with everyday tech questions and glitches. 🤔
- Help users with common software and tech queries, knowing when to ask for backup. 🤝
- Get involved in setting up and prepping computers, laptops, tablets, printers, and more. 💻
- Assist with basic login, access, and connectivity hiccups. 📶
- Keep a tidy record of all IT issues, following Academy procedures. 📝
- Team up with the IT Operations Manager and colleagues to keep technology running smoothly for everyone. 💡
What You'll Bring:
- National 5s in English and Maths, or something equivalent. 📚
- A serious passion for computers, tech, and figuring out how things work – more than just your average user! 🔥
- Top-notch communication skills: clear, polite, and patient with everyone you meet. 😊
- Experience helping friends, family, or colleagues with their tech troubles. 👍
- A friendly, approachable vibe when you're helping out. 😄
- A knack for solving problems logically and methodically. 🧩
- Understanding how important great customer service and keeping info private is. 🤫
- Some experience troubleshooting basic tech stuff or learning new software on your own, with a curious mind for areas like networking, cybersecurity, hardware, cloud tech, or coding. 🌐
- A handle on the basics of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, or other common applications. 🟩
Your Schedule:
- 35 hours per week
- Monday to Friday, 8am – 4pm ⏰
