About the role

✨ Join Us as a Group Work Facilitator Apprentice! ✨

Ready to kickstart your career in health and social care? 🚀 We're looking for motivated individuals to join our team as a Group Work Facilitator Apprentice. For 15 months, you'll be working towards your Adult Care Worker Level 2 qualification while diving headfirst into real-world responsibilities. 🤓

At Change Grow Live (CGL), you'll be a vital part of our multi-disciplinary team, gaining invaluable experience in a supportive learning environment. Your daily mission will be to:

  • Guide and support service users as they begin their journey with us and throughout their recovery. 🤝
  • Assist with screening, assessments, and interventions, helping individuals build recovery plans and connect with essential services (with training, of course!). 🧠
  • Learn about and contribute to reducing drug and alcohol-related harm for our service users and the wider community. 🌍
  • Champion carer, service user, and community involvement, making sure everyone has a voice. 📢
  • Advocate for service users to ensure they access the partnership services they need. 🌟
  • Support individuals in their social reintegration, helping them lead meaningful lives by promoting recovery, resilience, peer support, and self-determination. 💪

In addition to these core duties, you'll also have the chance to:

  • Deliver psychosocial interventions within the prison estate as part of our Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service. ⛓️
  • Collaborate with other healthcare providers in an integrated health and wellbeing model. 🏥
  • Work alongside key prison stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of service user treatment. 🤝
  • Facilitate group-based interventions and provide one-on-one support for those who find group settings challenging. 🗣️
  • Be creative and innovative to help service users access treatment and engage with diverse communities. 💡
  • Create a confidential, safe, and therapeutic learning environment for our service users. 💖
  • Assess suitability for groups, considering risk and special needs, and liaise with prison partners for scheduling. 📅

This is an outline of your role, and duties may evolve to meet CGL's changing needs.

Perks of joining CGL:

  • Help with childcare costs 🍼
  • Cycle to Work Scheme 🚲
  • Food intolerance and allergy testing 🍎
  • Gymflex 🏋️‍♀️
  • Life Insurance 🛡️
  • Will Writing Service 📝
  • Employee Assistance Programme (confidential support) 📞

Our Values are our compass:

  • Focus: Putting service users at the center of everything we do.
  • Empowerment: Helping everyone reach their full potential.
  • Social Justice: A shared commitment to fairness.
  • Respect: Treating everyone with dignity, without judgment.
  • Passion: Driving innovation for the best outcomes.
