Your Responsibilities Will Include:

• Understanding and explaining optical prescriptions and how they help vision. 👁️
• Assisting customers in choosing the perfect frames that are comfortable, stylish, and suit their lifestyle. 💃
• Clearly explaining frame features and benefits in simple, easy-to-understand language. 🗣️
• Measuring frames to ensure a perfect fit and accommodate lenses. 📏
• Adjusting frames for maximum comfort and stability using the right tools.🔧
• Performing basic frame repairs. 🩹
• Knowing about different lenses, tints, and coatings to match customer needs. 🌟
• Ordering prescription glasses and contact lenses. 📦
• Accurately completing NHS paperwork and other records. 📝
• Scheduling follow-up appointments for customers. 🗓️
• Using a focimeter to determine lens prescriptions from existing glasses. 💡
• Discussing contact lens options, features, and benefits. 💧
• Performing pre-screening tests like retinal imaging, pressure, and visual field tests. 🔬
• Explaining our fantastic offers and products. 💰
• Processing customer payments. 💳
• Troubleshooting basic optical concerns. 🤔
• Understanding how business KPIs contribute to the practice's success. 📈

Key responsibilities

• Greeting customers in a professional and friendly manner.
• Assisting customers with spectacle frame selection, measuring, and adjustments.
• Carrying out pre-screening tests such as retinal imaging and pressure and visual field testing.
• Ordering prescription glasses and contact lenses for customers.
• Completing NHS paperwork, written records, and taking payments from customers.

Entry requirements

GCSE in: (English (grade Grace 4/C or above), Maths (grade Grace 4/C or above))
