Ready to dive into a rewarding career where you can inspire young minds and boost community well-being? We're looking for passionate individuals to join us as a Sports Coach with a Swim Specialism, focusing on delivering awesome swim sessions and making a real difference! π
As part of our amazing Aquarius team, you'll get hands-on experience planning, delivering, and reviewing engaging swim lessons. Plus, you'll get to be a part of our super fun holiday camps! ποΈ Your apprenticeship journey, lasting 15 months, will lead to a Level 2 Community Activator Apprenticeship qualification.
What you'll be doing:
- Inspiring kids and families through fun, inclusive swimming activities! π€ΈββοΈ
- Learning to plan and deliver fantastic swim sessions, from extra-curricular lessons for primary kids to supporting our school swimming curriculum. π
- Helping with adult swimming lessons, exciting galas, and splashing good pool inflatable fun sessions! π
- Supporting children with SEND needs to ensure everyone has a great time in the pool. π€
- Assisting with community events and our holiday activity schemes. π₯³
- Developing your skills alongside our experienced Pool Supervisors and swim teachers.
- Using tech to boost engagement in physical activity, especially swimming! π±
- Being a positive role model, promoting safety, and contributing to our positive team ethos. β

Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and review a range of sport and physical activity projects and sessions, with a specific focus on swimming and aquatics.
- Support the delivery and coordination of holiday activity and HAF schemes for children.
- Provide additional support in the pool to children with SEND needs to ensure inclusivity of the program.
- Support on organising community and competitive events and work collaboratively with partner organisations.
- Supervise and support members of the public, ensuring their safety by complying with good H&S practice.
