Tennis Court Maintenance Apprentice 🎾
Ready to level up your career and work outdoors? We're on the hunt for an enthusiastic Apprentice to join our awesome Grounds Team! If you're keen to learn the ropes of creating and keeping top-notch tennis courts in killer condition, this is your shot! 🚀
What you'll be doing:
- Helping prep and maintain our amazing grass, clay, and artificial tennis courts – think pristine playing surfaces! ✨
- Getting hands-on with essential tasks like mowing, line marking, brushing, watering (irrigation!), aerating, scarifying, and topdressing. 🌿
- Pitching in with our seasonal renovation projects – giving our courts a fresh makeover! 🛠️
- Keeping an eye on turf health, soil conditions, and how the courts are playing. 🧐
- Operating grounds machinery and equipment safely, with guidance from the team. 🚜
- Tidying up surrounding landscapes, pathways, and spectator areas – keeping things looking sharp! 🤩
- Ensuring all work areas are clean, safe, and super organized. ✅
- Diving into training and working towards your turf qualification. 📚
- Being a legend of a team player, collaborating with the Grounds Team, and contributing to the smooth running of the club. 🙌
What you'll need:

Key responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and maintenance of grass, clay, and artificial tennis courts
- Learn and carry out tasks such as mowing, line marking, brushing, irrigation, aeration, scarification, and topdressing
- Support seasonal renovation programmes across all playing surfaces
- Help monitor turf health, soil conditions, and court performance
- Operate grounds machinery and equipment safely under supervision
