About the Gig π£
As an apprentice, you'll be right in the thick of it, supporting and helping to run a variety of cool community activities aimed at boosting health, wellbeing, and connecting people. You'll be part of a supportive team, learning from seasoned coaches and dedicated volunteers.
What You'll Be Doing π
- Championing our community programmes, including:
- A weekly Sporting Memories club for those affected by dementia π§
- A fun walking sports programme πΆββοΈ
- "Love to Move" sessions for individuals with cognitive conditions β€οΈ
- Teaming up with coaches for junior tennis, cricket, and hockey sessions, with the potential to bag Level 1 and Level 2 coaching badges! π
- Helping to grow our school outreach programme, working with local primary and secondary schools (starting with guidance and working towards leading it solo!). π«
- Learning the ropes of researching and writing grant applications to fund awesome community projects. π°
- Pitching in with the daily grind of the club β think reception, member support, and welcoming visitors. π
