You might be helping with personal care, cleaning, or supporting someone through medical appointments. It's hands-on work!
Shifts Can Be Long and Varied! β°
Care doesn't clock out at 5 pm! You might work evenings, weekends, or overnights. Being flexible is a must. π€Έ

With PossAbilities, You Will:
- Deliver top-notch care that's safe, personal, respectful, and honors each individual's dignity and preferences. β¨
- Provide excellent personal care, helping with hygiene, washing, dressing, and oral care. π
- Manage medication safely and accurately, ensuring individuals get what they need, when they need it. π
- Prepare delicious meals and assist with eating, catering to specific dietary needs. π
- Help with household chores like cleaning, laundry, and shopping. π§Ί
- Support people to enjoy social and active lifestyles, whatever *they* want. πΆββοΈ
- Be a friendly face and companion, helping people feel less alone. π€
- Team up with Support Officers to plan and review care, making sure it matches each person's dreams. π
- Keep clear records of the support you give, feedback you receive, and any important info for your team. βοΈ
- Report and record any concerns about someone's well-being promptly. π¨
- Support individuals in activities that are meaningful and fun for them, embracing their interests and choices. Being open to trying new things is part of the gig! π¨
Your Apprenticeship Adventure Includes:
- No boring college classes! π Your training is work-based, with face-to-face sessions and remote check-ins with your Learner Coach every 6 weeks. You'll also have a mentor right there at work. π§βπ«
- Boost your English and Maths skills (if you need it!) with Functional Skills qualifications. π―
- Regular reviews every 12 weeks with you, your manager, and your Learner Coach to check in and get feedback. β
You'll be working towards a Health and Social Care Foundation Apprenticeship L2 Qualification over 8 months with PossAbilities. Let's do this! πͺ
Key responsibilities
- Deliver excellent care and support to each individual.
- Provide excellent quality personal care.
- Manage medication and prepare meals according to individual dietary requirements.
- Help with household tasks and support social and active lifestyles.
- Record care provided, report any concerns, and work closely with Support Officers.
