Your responsibilities will include:

  • Creating a Positive Atmosphere: Helping to maintain our nursery's ethos by providing a warm, welcoming, and stimulating setting where children feel completely at ease. πŸ€—
  • Child Well-being & Learning: Under the guidance of experienced practitioners, you'll help ensure the overall well-being and care of all children, supporting their learning journeys, including those with additional needs. 🧠
  • Activity Support: Assisting with the planning and preparation of engaging activities tailored to each child's unique needs. You'll also be involved in effective communication with parents, working towards shared goals. πŸ—£οΈ
  • Fostering Growth: Helping to provide learning experiences that challenge and empower children to build confidence and independence within our vibrant setting. 🌱
  • Building Relationships: Nurturing positive relationships with children, role modelling great behaviour, and supporting their emotional well-being to boost their confidence and self-esteem. ❀️
  • Development Tracking: Assisting in observing, assessing, monitoring, and recording children's learning and development using various methods to inform future planning. πŸ“
  • Mealtime Supervision: Supervising children during meals and mealtimes, and potentially helping with food/bottle preparation for babies, always prioritising safe eating practices. 🍎
  • Safety First: Strictly adhering to our Allergies and Allergic Reactions Policy and Sleep Policy to ensure the safety of children with allergies and while they are sleeping. πŸ›‘οΈ
  • Inclusion Champion: Understanding and promoting our inclusion and equality policies and procedures. 🌍
  • Team Player: Being a reliable and flexible member of our team, working co-operatively with everyone. 🀝
  • Flexible Hours: Being available to work flexible hours as requested by the Nursery Manager. ⏰
  • Other Duties: Undertaking any other appropriate duties as directed by the Nursery Manager and Company Directors.
