You'll be working towards your valuable Adult Care Worker (Level 2) Apprenticeship, gaining essential skills and knowledge.

At Bluebird Care, we're all about providing top-notch, compassionate care to elderly and vulnerable individuals, helping them live comfortably and safely in their own homes. ๐Ÿก We're expanding and need dedicated Healthcare Assistants to support our customers across Swindon and surrounding areas (including Highworth, Faringdon, Wroughton, Lawns, Shrivenham, Moredon, Watchfield, and Vale of White Horse).

Your day-to-day will involve:

  • Providing essential personal care and support with daily routines. ๐Ÿงผ
  • Offering friendly companionship and emotional reassurance. ๐Ÿค—
  • Communicating effectively with a diverse range of people. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ
  • Learning to problem-solve and safely support individuals, adhering to all regulations and policies. ๐Ÿ“œ
  • Mastering nutrition and hydration best practices, plus food hygiene and infection control. ๐ŸŽ
  • Understanding safeguarding, recognizing signs of abuse, and knowing how to report concerns. ๐Ÿ›ก๏ธ
  • Learning about whistleblowing procedures for confidentially raising issues. ๐Ÿ“ฃ
  • Safely handling and administering medication, including proper disposal. ๐Ÿ’Š
  • Developing skills in managing challenging situations, positive behaviour support, autism awareness, and learning disabilities. ๐Ÿง 
  • Becoming a great team player, communicating effectively with colleagues, and developing confidence in lone working. ๐Ÿค

This is a fantastic 12-month apprenticeship opportunity delivered by Paragon Skills, an award-winning, Ofsted-rated โ€˜Goodโ€™ apprenticeship provider. You'll gain a recognized qualification and invaluable hands-on experience.
