About the Role:
You'll be a key player in supporting, maintaining, and improving Patient Choice’s internal applications, systems, software, and digital platforms. Working closely with our Technology Team, you'll dive into software development, application support, data management, Microsoft 365, automation, and general tech support. We'll start you off with structured guidance, training, and supervision. As your confidence and knowledge grow, you'll have the chance to tackle more complex tasks and projects. 📈
What You'll Do:
- Assist with data cleansing, validation, reporting, and basic database tasks. 🗄️
- Support and develop Patient Choice’s internal applications, systems, and digital platforms. 💻
- Help with coding, testing, and system improvement tasks. 🔧
- Identify inefficient processes and create simple digital or automated solutions. ⚙️
- Support the integration of systems, databases, and cloud-based tools. ☁️
- Respond to technical and application support requests via our ticketing system. 🎫
- Assist with troubleshooting, bug fixing, testing, and system updates. ✅
- Provide practical support with Windows software, computers, devices, and hardware. 🖱️
- Support Microsoft 365 applications like Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Excel, and Forms. 📧
- Help build simple workflows, forms, reports, and automations using tools like Power Automate and Power Apps. 🏗️
- Responsibly use approved AI tools, including Claude AI and Microsoft Copilot, for development, research, testing, and documentation. 🧠
- Check and validate AI-generated information and code. 👀
What You'll Need:
- Some introductory exposure to coding or programming (from school, online courses, personal projects, etc.). ⌨️
- Confidence using Windows computers and common software. 🖥️
- Basic experience with Microsoft 365 apps (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, OneDrive). 📄
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal. 🗣️
- A logical and methodical approach to problem-solving. 🤔
- Good organization skills and the ability to manage your tasks and deadlines. ⏰
Bonus Points (Nice to Have!):
- Experience creating a website, app, game, script, bot, or automation. 🎮
- Familiarity with programming languages like PHP, Python, Java, C#, or JavaScript. 🐍
- Knowledge of HTML or CSS. 🌐
- Experience with SharePoint, Power Automate, Power Apps, or Power BI. 📊
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure or other cloud systems. 🌌
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools like Claude AI or Microsoft Copilot. 🤖
- Participation in online coding courses, tech clubs, bootcamps, or personal tech projects. 🏫
Entry Requirements:
- 7 GCSEs total.
- English GCSE grade D (3) or above.
- Maths GCSE and 6 other GCSEs at grade C (4) or above.
- You must not already hold a qualification at the same or higher level in a similar subject.
- If you have a mix of qualifications and experience that show you're ready, we'll still consider you!
- International qualification holders: Please provide an official document comparing your qualifications to UK standards. 🌍
Working Hours:
- 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday. 🗓️
