What you'll be doing:
- Keeping our clinical areas and equipment squeaky clean, tidy, and sterile, following all our health and safety and infection control procedures. โจ
- Using and maintaining all equipment and machinery according to manufacturer's instructions โ keeping everything running smoothly! ๐ ๏ธ
- Providing top-notch chairside assistance, making sure the right gear is always ready to go. ๐ฆท
- Ensuring the care and welfare of our patients is always our top priority. โค๏ธ
- Accurately completing patient clinical records as directed, keeping everything confidential. ๐
- Handling all substances safely and in line with health and safety policies. โฃ๏ธ
- Being familiar with and following all health and safety guidelines, including PPE, COSHH, mercury handling, infection control, and waste disposal. ๐งค
- Developing and filing radiographs. ๐ธ
- Completing laboratory request forms and keeping records of all work sent and received. โ๏ธ
- Making sure we always have enough materials and supplies in the surgery. ๐ฆ
- Placing order requests for clinical supplies with the Practice Coordinator. ๐
- Accurately maintaining and securely storing computer and written records. ๐ป
- Liaising with reception to ensure smooth patient communication and record transfers. ๐ฃ๏ธ
- Attending and participating in practice meetings. ๐ค
- Taking on other duties as needed to keep the practice running efficiently, including reception duties and covering the decontamination room. ๐
- Undergoing regular training to develop your skills, including CPR and medical emergencies. ๐
- Acting in accordance with all practice rules and our code of conduct. ๐
Key responsibilities
- Provide chairside assistance, ensuring correct equipment is available.
- Maintain all clinical areas and equipment in a clean, tidy, and sterile condition.
- Accurately complete and maintain patient clinical and practice records.
- Ensure the care and welfare of patients at all times.
- Comply with all health and safety rules and guidance, including infection control procedures.
