What you'll be doing:

  • Supporting brilliant kids from 9 months to 5 years old. 🧸
  • Being a "Key Person" for a special group of children, making learning an absolute blast! 🎉
  • Building awesome relationships with parents and carers, making sure every child's unique needs are seen and met. 🤝
  • Working hand-in-hand with families to support each child's journey. 💖
  • Keeping our manager in the loop about any concerns regarding children's well-being, health, or equipment safety, always keeping things confidential. 🤫
  • Creating fun and stimulating play experiences that help children learn and grow. 🌱
  • Ensuring children's safety is always top priority and knowing how to follow child protection procedures. 🛡️
  • Being a star player in team meetings, supervisions, and appraisals. 🌟
  • Taking charge of your own development and attending training when needed. 📚

What you'll need:

  • A passion for childcare. ❤️
  • A Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. ✅
  • Qualifications equivalent to Level 3 (like A-levels) in Early Years Education. 🎓

Key responsibilities

  • Support children aged 9 months to 5 years, providing stimulating play experiences.
  • Act as a key person, liaising closely with parents/carers and meeting children's needs.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of children, following child protection procedures.
  • Advise the manager of any concerns regarding children, parents, or equipment safety, preserving confidentiality.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, supervision, appraisals, and take responsibility for personal development.
