As a Key Person for a small group, you'll be the mastermind behind making learning an absolute blast! ๐ Think exciting activities, engaging games, and creating a space where every child feels seen, heard, and celebrated. You'll be the go-to person, building awesome connections with parents and carers, and making sure each child's unique journey is supported every step of the way. ๐ค
Your role involves:
- Being a rockstar Key Person, building strong bonds with families and ensuring every child's needs are understood and met. ๐
- Teaming up with parents, carers, and family members to create a supportive network for our little superstars. ๐จโ๐ฉโ๐งโ๐ฆ
- Being the eyes and ears for our Manager, flagging any concerns about a child's well-being, health, or equipment safety, always with complete discretion. ๐คซ
- Crafting and delivering awesome learning experiences that are both fun and super stimulating for the children. ๐ง ๐ก
- Championing child safety and knowing exactly how to follow our child protection procedures to keep everyone secure. ๐ก๏ธ
- Actively contributing your brilliant ideas at team meetings, supervision, and appraisal sessions. ๐ฃ๏ธ
- Embracing professional growth by attending training and taking charge of your own development. ๐ฑ
What you'll need:
- A successful Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check is essential. โ
- Working towards or holding an Early Years Educator Level 3 apprenticeship standard. ๐
- Training will be completed on-site. ๐ซ
- Functional Skills Level 2 in Maths and English may be required. ๐ข๐
Key responsibilities
- Support children aged 3 months to 5 years in their early childhood development.
- Act as a key person for a small group of children, facilitating engaging learning experiences.
- Liaise closely and build effective relationships with parents/carers, ensuring children's needs are met.
- Ensure children's safety and well-being, advising management of any concerns and following child protection procedures.
- Actively participate in team meetings, attend training, and take responsibility for personal development.
