What you'll be doing:

  • Being a "Key Person": You'll build awesome bonds with a small group of children, making learning an exciting adventure! 🤩
  • Partnering with families: Work closely with parents and carers to create strong relationships and ensure every child's unique needs are understood and met. 🤝
  • Keeping everyone safe: Your priority is ensuring children are safe and sound, and you'll know exactly how to follow child protection procedures. 🛡️
  • Creating magical moments: Offer stimulating play experiences and provide the perfect level of support for each child's development. 🎨
  • Being a team player: Actively contribute to team meetings and take ownership of your professional growth. 📈
  • Reporting important stuff: Communicate any concerns about child well-being, health, or equipment safety to the manager, always maintaining confidentiality. 🤫

What you'll need:

  • A genuine passion for giving children the best start. ❤️
  • To pass a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. ✅
  • Enrollment in the Early Years Educator Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard. 🎓
  • A commitment to learning and development, with training provided on-site! 🏫

Key responsibilities

  • Support children aged 9 months to 5 years, offering stimulating play experiences.
  • Act as a key person, liaising with parents/carers to ensure children's needs are met.
  • Teach children and ensure their safety, adhering to child protection procedures.
  • Advise the manager of any concerns, preserving confidentiality as necessary.
  • Actively participate in all required meetings and take responsibility for personal development.
